How Brixgate collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

This policy applies to the Brixgate platform at www.brixgate.com and is aligned with Nigerian data protection law (NDPR) and, where applicable, the UK GDPR.

1. Who We Are

Brixgate ("we", "us", "our") is an EdTech company that designs and delivers expert-led professional development programmes focused on the practical application of AI within specific professional fields. We operate at www.brixgate.com.

For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Brixgate acts as the data controller in respect of personal data collected through this platform. For any data protection enquiries, please contact us at we@brixgate.com.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance — to deliver the programme you have enrolled in and manage your learner account.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law including financial record-keeping requirements.
  • Legitimate interests — to improve our platform, prevent fraud, and communicate with you about your enrolment or related services, where this does not override your rights.
  • Consent — for optional marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Creating and managing your learner account
  • Processing enrolment and payment
  • Matching you with an appropriate Expert Practitioner and cohort
  • Delivering programme content and tracking your progress
  • Issuing your Brixgate Certificate of Completion
  • Communicating with you about your enrolment, programme schedule, and important updates
  • Sending marketing communications where you have consented
  • Improving the platform through analytics and usage insights
  • Complying with our legal and regulatory obligations

5. How We Share Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Expert Practitioners — your name, field, and learning goals may be shared with the expert assigned to your cohort for the purposes of programme delivery.
  • Payment processors — Paystack processes your payment and receives the necessary transaction data. They are subject to their own privacy policy.
  • Platform service providers — we use third-party tools for hosting, analytics, and communication. These providers are contractually obligated to process your data only as instructed.
  • Legal authorities — where required by law, court order, or regulatory obligation.

6. International Data Transfers

Our servers are primarily located in the EU/EEA. Some service providers may process data outside Nigeria or the UK. Where such transfers occur, we apply appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognised under applicable law.

  • Erasure — you can ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction — you can ask us to pause processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability — you can request a machine-readable copy of data you have provided to us.
